Planning Council of Southeast Denver
(EPCSED)
Announces Reorganization
DENVER -- The Estate
Planning Council of Southeast Denver
(EPCSED) has recently reorganized
and is now structured as a 501 C (6)
member-owned nonprofit corporation.
Previously, the organization was operated
by Jack Levine,
who founded the EPCSED in 1998. Last
December, Jack passed away quite suddenly
and his dedication to the organization
is dearly missed. The past few months
have provided time for transition
and restructuring of the organization
and now the EPCSED is on track to
begin programming once again.
The EPCSED has elected Ling Lam, attorney
at law, to serve as Executive Director.
Ling is currently working to build
membership as well as working with
the Advisory Board to plan the programs
for the coming year. EPCSED Advisory
Board includes: Dan
Diercks, Prestige Brokerage Ltd.;
Neil DiLorenzo, CPA,; Stewart Fleisher,
attorney at law; Linda Hoffman, Smith
Barney; Susan Johnston, Cherry Hills
Investment Advisors, LLC; and Leslie
Karotkin, The Denver Foundation.
This member-owned nonprofit provides
a platform to encourage discussion
and the exchange of ideas among estate
planning professionals. It was Jack's
vision to educate professional advisors
about the various aspects of the estate
planning process. The organization
will continue to educate the public
by teaching, disseminating education
materials, and promoting inter-professional
collaboration on all aspects of proper
estate planning.
